On September 22, Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia David Tadevosyan received representatives of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan, AWS Director of Public Policy for Mediterranean Europe (EU MED) Franco Spicciariello, and AWS Sovereign Cloud Business Development Manager Kara Nalabandian.

The parties discussed a number of issues related to the development of Armenia’s high-tech and artificial intelligence sectors. In particular, the discussion touched upon the provision of AWS services to the AI Virtual Institute, as well as the capabilities of Amazon LEO satellite connectivity. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed.
