Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan received Lucia Bonelli, a representative of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), an Italian development finance institution operating under state control, and Andrea Peduto, Deputy Head of Mission of Italy in Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the high-tech sector, as well as the potential use of financial and investment mechanisms within the framework of government support.

The parties highlighted the importance of developing the startup ecosystem, strengthening cybersecurity, and improving digital infrastructure. They also discussed the potential of Armenian technology companies, expanding business ties with international partners, and opportunities for implementing joint projects.

The discussion also covered potential cooperation in data center management, the application of cloud technologies, and the development of digital infrastructure through public-private partnerships.

The parties further addressed opportunities for technological modernization across various industries, increasing productivity, and introducing innovative solutions.

Potential formats for partnerships with Italian companies and prospects for expanding business ties were also discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Lucia Bonelli reaffirmed her readiness to develop long-term strategic cooperation with Armenia’s high-tech sector. The parties agreed to continue discussions with a view to developing and implementing projects of mutual interest.
