On September 28, a postage stamp dedicated to the topic "Joint Issue Armenia-Vatican: 350th Anniversary of Mkhitar Sebastatsi" was canceled and put into circulation.

The cancellation was carried out by the Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Gevorg Mantashyan, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Mr. David Karapetyan, the Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Armenia Archbishop Ante Jozić, the Ordinary of the Armenian Catholic Church of Armenia, Georgia, Russia and Eastern Europe Archbishop Gevorg Noradounkian, the Chief Executive Officer of “Haypost” CJSC Shushan Aleksanyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan. 

The postage stamp depicts the prominent Armenian clergyman, a public figure of scholarship and culture, an Armenologist, the founder of the Mekhitarist Congregation, Mekhitar of Sebaste (1676-1749) set against the background of the engraving “View of the Island of San Lazzaro” (engraver: Giuseppe Carlo Zucchi, XVIII c., Venice).

The postage stamp also depicts the inscriptions “MEKHITAR OF SEBASTE” and “350TH ANNIVERSARY” in Armenian and English languages.
